The R-I questionnaire serves to diagnose reflexiveness-impulsiveness as cognitive style characteristics. It consists of 75 items constituting three scales. The first of them, the main scale (R) measures the reflexiveness as a tendency to delay responses in situations requiring problem solving in order to consider some solutions. The opposite to it is a tendency to give quick and not enough thought-of responses, the impulsiveness. Two additional scales measure caution (O) as a risk aversion, fear of being disgraced as well as sensitivity to critique, and activity (A) connected with great need for cognitive stimulation. The results in this scales may tell of the reflexiveness type represented by the examinee.
