The catalogue of Pracownia contains at present over 100 already published methods plus several new tests scheduled for release. The Symptomy Bookstore is responsible for the commercial activity.

The Research and Development Department of Pracownia performs scientific research connected with the adaptation, normalization, and development of new tests as well as training in psychological testing. Organizzazioni Speciali, Hodder and Stoughton Ltd. and John Wiley & Sons Ltd. The representatives of the Research and Development Department take part in working groups of  international organizations with similar aims such as EFPA (European Federation of Psychologists’ Association).

Pracownia strives to ensure the best, world-class standards of products, to meet the needs  of specialists using tests professionally, to implement ethical and professional standards of psychometric diagnosis.

These aims are achieved through:

  • publication of tests with respect for the copyright laws and license agreements,
  • development of standards for Polish authors of test manuals to ensure the  compatibility with the international directives - European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA), American Psychological Association (APA), International Test Commission (ITC),
  • creating a community of professional test practitioners, promoting research on practical test applications.

The preliminary mission of Pracownia – from the beginning to the present –  is to develop psychological tests, and to put into practice the ethical and professional standards of diagnosis based on psychometric tools.
